The final middle falls leading to the ultra clear pool that is great for summer swimming.
Description: As if Stowe needed more great waterfall areas, there is Sterling Brook Gorge to add to the legendary area. The brook winds through very steep gradients, making a very large gorge with several waterfall series. The middle falls are the most dramatic before leading to a beautiful emerald pool that is an excellent swimming hole in low flow. This set of images were taken in late morning, and there was already lots of glare, so it is important to get here at the extreme ends of the day or during heavy overcast for the best pictures. Of course, the hot sun works great if you are enjoying the cool pools!
