VERMONT WATERFALLS
FALLS OF LANA - SALISBURY, VERMONT |
|
The spectacular 100' falls curving twice down the rock face.
Description: This waterfall is an absolute heavyweight of Vermont. It is arguably the top fall, and certainly in the top few. It is located in the park area near Lake Dunmore, and does require a short hike to get to it, but it is well worth it. The pictures shown are from the base in the gorge, but there is a better viewpoint from a cliff adjacent to the falls. Hopefully, I can get back to the falls soon for some better pictures of the entire falls. This 100' falls carving an "s" shape down the rock face is breathtaking. Pictures really don't do this fall justice, and is a must-see for anyone with a limited time to check out scenic areas and waterfalls of Vermont.
