VERMONT WATERFALLS
HUTCHINS BRIDGE FALLS - MONTGOMERY, VERMONT |
|
View of the left falls below Hutchins Bridge.
Description: This is another historic mill site with a Vermont covered bridge. The falls are not spectacular, but do provide a nice setting below the bridge. The left falls is a 15' cascade beside the enormous center rock that divides the falls into two sides. The mill site is vaguely recognizable on the hill next to the left falls. The right falls are more dramatic, but very difficult to see due to the surrounding terrain. If you like this waterfall, make sure you check out Crystal Falls, which is an even better covered bridge fall in the area.
The pool below the falls. The bridge is seen upper right above the end of the left falls.
The final plunge of the right falls through some leaves over the bottom pool.
The left falls from above through an opening in Hutchins Bridge.
